Kindergarten thru 5th Grade Dress Code

UNIFORM and DRESS CODE

A clean and neat appearance enhances one’s own dignity and promotes proper behavior. The school
uniform achieves these purposes. All children must be in the required school uniform. Blouses and shirts are
to be worn tucked inside the skirt or trousers while on school property. This includes traveling to and from
P.E. class. All skirts and/or skorts are to be no shorter than 3 inches above the kneecap.

No rolling of skirts, shorts and/or skorts.

GIRLS:
• Plaid jumper, plaid skort, or grey shorts purchased from the uniform company.
• White short-sleeved blouse or golf shirt purchased in the school office.
• Solid black, brown, navy or white dress or athletic shoes (No high tops or boots, no shoe heels over 2 inches).
• Solid white socks that should be visible.
• White, navy, grey or black tights may be worn from November 1 - April 1.
• All Souls v-neck pullover sweater ordered through the uniform company.
• All Souls sweatshirt ordered through the school office in October.
• Navy Docker-style pants may be worn from Nov. 1- April 1.
• Solid-colored belts are required unless pants have no belt loops.
• No make-up (including eye shadow, eyeliner, and lipstick).
• No fake fingernails.
• No hair extensions.
• Presentable haircuts must be worn at all times.
• Coloring of hair is not permitted at any time; this includes highlighting.

BOYS:
• Grey shorts purchased from the uniform company, with solid colored belt.
• Grey Docker-style pants, with solid colored belt, may be worn from November 1 - April 1.
• Solid-colored belts are required unless pants have no belt loops.
• White golf shirt (purchased in the school office), must be worn tucked in.
• Solid white socks that should be visible
• All Souls v-neck pullover sweater ordered through the uniform company.
• All Souls sweatshirt ordered through the school office in October.
• Solid black, brown, navy or white dress or athletic shoes.
• No high tops.
• No earrings.
• Presentable haircuts must be worn at all times.
• Hair must be cut above the collar with a neat appearance.
• Coloring of hair is not permitted at any time; this includes highlighting.
• Uniform shoes must be worn to school every day.

JEWELRY
Simple jewelry may be worn. Girls may wear only one post-type earring in each ear. Hoops or dangling
earrings are not permitted since they pose a safety hazard. Necklaces of any kind must be worn inside shirts. Chokers may not be worn at any time.

SWEATSHIRTS
Only All Souls Catholic School sweatshirts and All Souls v-neck pullover sweaters may be worn inside the classroom at any time. Non-All Souls outerwear, including jackets and sweatshirts, are not to be
worn in class.

Phys. Ed (P.E.):
• Grey shirt (purchased in the school office)
• Navy P.E. shorts ordered through Fontaine Apparel
• White socks
• Athletic shoes
• All Souls gray P.E. sweatpants ordered through the school office in October

On P.E. days students will wear their P.E. uniform all day without changing back into their school uniform.

On cold days between November 1 and April 1, All Souls sweatpants may be worn on P.E. days. The regular P.E. uniform must be worn under the sweats. Students may be asked to remove sweatpants during the heat of the day. If a school Mass falls on a P.E. day, students must wear their regular school uniform to school instead of their P.E. uniform.

• White, navy, grey or black tights may be worn from November 1 - April 1.
