Instrument Club

The Instrument Club involves students who are interested in learning how to play woodwind and brass instruments. We meet every Wednesday after school from 2:15-3:15. Students learn proper posture, breathing, embouchure positions, correct fingering, and learning the notes. We use the “Standard of Excellence” book for basic music theory lessons and basic musical pieces.

Students have the opportunity to play various musical pieces individually and in a group. The Instrument Club performs at the annual Fifth thru Eighth grade Christmas performance.

We anticipate more students will be joining the Instrument Club in the year 2010-2011. Percussion instruments will be added and those students who play the violin or other instruments are encouraged to join.

All Souls Catholic School has Altar Servers that participate in the School Masses as well as Sunday Masses throughout the year.
