Guidance

Our developmental approach to guidance is to assist students as they grow physically, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. Our comprehensive program focuses on students making progress toward many goals. We achieve these goals through weekly activities that address better understanding self and others, the school environment, and attitudes and behavior. In addition, our direct instruction and activity-based learning allows for students to develop decision-making and problem-solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills, school success skills, and career awareness and educational plans.

Resource

The goal of our Resource Program is to provide a caring and collaborative environment where students receive small group instruction at their ability level. Learners selected to receive help are given academic support in the areas of English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. Intervention is provided to develop specific skills identified through classroom teacher observation and diagnostic testing. Using relevant learning strategies, technology enhancement and directed instruction, resource students are encouraged to achieve personal goals and increase academic success.
